"Good for much younger kids." 2010-03-10
By Kristine A. Nicholas (Boston, MA USA)
My biggest gripe with this toy is that it is improperly labeled, as far as ages go. My son would have loved this at three-years-old, but at 7, not so much! He found it really boring. We passed it along to a friend with preschoolers, and they enjoyed it more. It really is much more fun for the little ones.

 "Hilarious Fun" 2010-01-24
By LORDSLADY (GAITHERSBURG, MD USA)
I bought this game for my grandchildren who are 6 and 8 years old. I was astonished to find that we had a blast playing it! The kids and I played for over an hour, which is a long time because this game requires energy and patience! They ask for it every time they come over. Honestly, it takes awhile to put together the first time you play and then you have to break it down to put it away, but when I think of the teamwork and the hilarity that happens when we play, it is worth it! Rather than compete against each other, the players all form a team against the Grinch and that is wonderful! I think the kids like that, too. Sometimes the sleigh will start after only about 20 seconds of singing but they vary it and sometimes the sleigh takes a couple of minutes of singing to start down the slope. Overall, one of the most fun purchases I have ever made for the grandkids. I rated it a 4 out of 5 only because I am sure it will break down and not last as long as the many times the kids will probably want to play it.

 "Frustrating!" 2010-01-10
By Joshua D. Curley (Ramsey, NJ United States)
This game is style over substance. I tried to play this with my 4 year olds. Admittedly, they enjoyed playing with the game pieces while I labored to put the game together. It does not go together easily or seem very stable even when assembled. The heavy mechanism sits precariously at the top of the cardboard mountain and the sleigh sits even more precariously at the edge of the mechanism. A 3-D game board is a neat idea but SO poorly conceived. In the end, the sleigh NEVER released while we sang our hearts out. It did release a couple of times without anyone singing and when pushed the sleigh would crash off the track on the edge of the mountainside. Eventually the kids lost interest so we never actually "played" the game as intended. After all the time to assemble, it was incredibly frustrating that it didn't work right.

"who doesn't like to shout?" 2010-01-10
By B'ham Mom (Birmingham, AL)
quite a fun game, and I was actually sad to put it away with the Christmas stuff and will be delighted to bring it back out next year. Caveat... depending on how much else Santa leaves, he may not feel like setting this up on Christmas Eve. It took maybe 10 minutes, but those are precious minutes on Christmas Eve! The main issue for me was getting the sled track to stay together. Once I got that, the rest was no problem whatsoever. It's great fun for the kids and the grownups to shout their favorite Christmas tunes, and my absolute favorite part of the game is that the players aren't competing against each other, but are playing as a team against the grinch. Glad I bought it.
