I've always been a runner, and always had the legs of a sprinter, so my calves are larger than average. Usually the only boots that fit right are ones that lace up - I can never get zippers all the way up. I wore these for the first time to shovel my driveway today and the right side ended up cutting into my Achilles tendon (above the heel). There is a hard piece of plastic or something to maintain support on the back of the boot, but I think with the pressure on the top of the boot (because the top is not wide enough to move freely around my calf), this support piece naturally bent inward toward my foot and chaffed it with every step. If it weren't for that, I'd say that the boot was very comfortable and warm, and the traction on the ice was pretty good as well.

I bought these boots on the recent one day sale Amazon had and, I absolutely love them. They are shearling inside from the bottom to the top and it feels like I am wearing my slippers all day. They fit true to size (I wear a 10 in shoes and a 10 in these fit perfectly). Awesome boots, Awesome price!! Would recommend them to anyone. Good quality, without the high prices of Uggs.
