These were really cute on but they were too small. I usually wear an 8.5 and I ordered a 9. By toes still hit the top of the boot. I was disappointed to return them.

This is a wonderful boot. I had to order a full size larger than usual probably because of the warm lining. I get a lot of complements on these everywhere I go. They are comfortable and I can wear them for hours shopping or outside. Definitely a great buy!

This is my second pair of BEARPAW Altai boots. (My first pair came from a different online retailer.) They are incredibly comfortable, like walking on pillows. They have a slight rise in the heel, but it's barely noticeable. I've worn them in snow and ice, and I feel very steady on them. Also, these boots are great for people with larger calves, because the lacing gives plenty of room. They keep my feet cozy warm, and they look great with pants, jeans, or skirts.
I have not had the problem mentioned by other reviewers of tabs popping off with either pair of boots. However, my first pair did have a quality issue where the sole came away from the last in the left boot, which led to a kind of "squish" feeling whenever I stepped with that foot/leg. So, I am dinging these a star because the quality seems to be hit or miss.
As far as fit, I ordered in my normal size, and they do feel a little tight at first, plus it took some pull-and-tug to get my foot into the boot. However, after a few wearings, the lining inside conforms to your foot. After that, they feel perfect. So, do not give up on them if they feel a little snug at first...they will loosen with wear.

I love these boots. I usually don't buy shoes online, but the price made me do it. I ordered these boots in Chocolate and I ordered up in size. I wear a 7 1/2, and I ordered an 8. When I first put them on, they did seem a little snug. But after wearing them for a while they felt fine. I think this is only a problem for people who wear half sizes. I still recommend ordering up in size though. I also plan to put some sort of water-resistant product on them to help protect the boots.
